Answer: B
The prize in Engineering Sciences went to Dr. Aloke Paul.
The Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize is the CSIR's leading award for Indian scientists under 45. Dr. Aloke Paul, a materials engineer at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, received it for 2017 in the Engineering Sciences category for his work on diffusion in materials.
The other three are scientists in other disciplines: Deepak Thankappan Nair is a structural biologist, Nissim Kanekar an astrophysicist and Sanjeev Das a cell biologist, so none of them is the Engineering Sciences awardee.
