AP Police Scientific Assistant Eligibility, Important Dates

No advertisement, so no published eligibility. Both AP recruiting bodies use the same document rules, so you can get these ready:

• Date of birth only from the SSC, Matriculation or equivalent certificate. SLPRB refuses horoscopes, affidavits, municipal birth extracts and service records.
• Local status under the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, shown by the School Study Certificate, or the alternative certificate if you claim by residence.
• Caste certificate, and the latest Non-Creamy Layer certificate for BC candidates.
• Degree certificate and consolidated marks memo for a technical post, with proof that the university is recognised. Proving recognition is usually your job.

A certificate dated after the notification generally can't support a reservation or age relaxation claim.

No advertisement, so no selection process to report. It will depend on which body issues the notification:

For a technical post, the degree requirement and the technical syllabus decide whether it's worth applying. Neither can be read off the job title.

No dates. As of 11 September 2026 neither SLPRB, AP nor APPSC has a Scientific Assistant advertisement out.

Watch the APPSC Examination Calendar on psc.ap.gov.in. It names posts before their notifications are issued, which no other source does. SLPRB's Recruitment page and Latest News panel on slprb.ap.gov.in list each notification with its date and application window.

Don't prepare from a guessed syllabus. For a technical post the notification sets the syllabus, and the technical paper carries the marks.

• Follow the APPSC Examination Calendar. It's the only advance warning you'll get.
• Sort your documents: School Study Certificate, caste certificate, latest Non-Creamy Layer certificate. Get them before a notification issues.
• Check your degree. Forensic posts usually want a particular science degree, sometimes with a named specialisation. If yours is from an open or distance programme, confirm its recognition now.
• If you just want an AP Police job, read SLPRB's notification 161/SLPRB/Rect.2/2022. It recruited 6,100 SCT Police Constables under two post codes. Preliminary test marks don't count in the final selection, and the PET is worth 100 marks for the APSP post code but only qualifies for Civil. Its companion 163/SLPRB/Rect.1/2022 recruited Sub Inspectors.
• If you want forensic work, look at the Telangana Police Recruitment Board's 2025 Forensic Science Laboratory technical posts recruitment, which published its notification, selected list and cut-offs.
