Bank of Baroda PO Exam Pattern, Eligibility, Important Dates
141 topics across 5 subjects. Every question carries a written explanation.
Bank of Baroda does not hold its own Probationary Officer exam. Its PO intake comes through the IBPS Common Recruitment Process, this year CRP PO/MT-XVI, notified on 1 July 2026 for the bank's vacancies of 2027-28. Eleven public sector banks take part, and you apply once, to IBPS, not to the bank. The bank's own Current Opportunities page lists no PO notice.
Bank of Baroda reported the largest indicative number in the process: 1,900 posts out of 7,565 across the banks (figures as updated on 27 August 2026; Union Bank of India had not reported any). The number is an estimate and may include backlog. Actual allotment follows what the banks report later, and each candidate is placed by merit and bank preference.
| SC | ST | OBC (NCL) | EWS | Unreserved | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 285 | 142 | 513 | 190 | 770 | 1,900 |
Persons with benchmark disability: 19 posts each for hearing, orthopaedic, visual and intellectual disability.
Bank of Baroda also recruits Local Bank Officers itself, but that is for people with a year of officer experience in a bank, not for freshers.

Selection Process
- Online Preliminary exam.
- Online Main exam, with a minimum in each test and in total to be shortlisted.
- Personality Test (a self-report). It does not carry marks, but you cannot go on to the interview without taking it.
- Interview by the participating banks, 100 marks, minimum 40% (35% for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD).
The final score is the Main exam and interview weighted 80:20. Banks then allot candidates provisionally, on merit and preference. A tie goes to the older candidate. The bank allotted to you can still reject the candidature, and the process stops being valid a year after allotment.
