What is a cascode arrangement?
Answer: D
A cascode puts a common-base stage above a common-emitter stage, so the lower device sees almost no voltage swing and its Miller capacitance is not multiplied. The result is the gain of a common emitter with the bandwidth of a common base. The other options describe cascades, followers and parallel devices. Arranging two stages so that each supplies what the other lacks is the essence of a composite, and the cascode is the cleanest example in electronics.
