Growth refers to :
Answer: A
Growth refers to quantitative change.
In child development, growth means increase in size and amount: height, weight, number of cells, which can be measured. Development refers to qualitative change, improvement in functioning and ability, such as learning to walk or think abstractly.
'Qualitative change' therefore describes development, not growth. 'Directional' and 'longitudinal' describe principles or study designs, not what growth is.
