A contingent contract dependent on the happening of future uncertain event can be enforced when the event
Answer: A
Such a contract can be enforced when the event happens.
Section 32 of the Indian Contract Act: contingent contracts to do or not to do anything if an uncertain future event happens cannot be enforced by law unless and until that event has happened. If the event becomes impossible, the contract becomes void.
'Becomes impossible' therefore voids the contract rather than making it enforceable. 'Does not happen' is the test for the opposite kind of contract, one contingent on an event not happening, under Section 33. Since one option is correct, D is wrong.
