Which among the following is not considered to be probability sample ?
Answer: C
A quota sample is not a probability sample. In quota sampling the researcher picks respondents to fill quotas by judgement, so not every unit has a known chance of selection.
Simple random, stratified random and cluster samples all use random selection, in which each unit has a known probability of being chosen, so they are probability samples.
Non-probability samples such as quota, purposive and snowball samples cannot be used for statistical estimates of error.
