In a Wheatstone bridge circuit at balanced condition
Answer: B
At balance the potential difference across the galvanometer is zero.
A Wheatstone bridge is balanced when P/Q = R/S. Then the two points the galvanometer joins are at the same potential, so no current flows through it and it shows no deflection; this null reading is what lets an unknown resistance be found.
So the galvanometer current is zero, not maximum. The total resistance of the network is not zero, and the battery still supplies its emf.
