The Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted in 1989.
The UN General Assembly adopted the CRC on 20 November 1989, and it entered into force in September 1990. It is the most widely ratified human rights treaty; India acceded in 1992.
1966 is the year of the two International Covenants, 2006 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and 2003 is not linked with the CRC.
