The education with homogeneous learners is formal education.
In formal education learners are grouped into classes by age and level, follow the same syllabus and have similar backgrounds, so the group is largely homogeneous.
Extension education and non-formal education serve people of all ages, education levels and occupations together, so their learners are heterogeneous. Informal education happens through daily life and has no defined group of learners at all.
