Sawai Jai Singh built Nahargarh Fort.
Nahargarh, on the Aravalli ridge overlooking Jaipur, was built by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1734 to strengthen the defences of his new city, and the account the question follows describes it as protection against Maratha incursions. Together with Amber and Jaigarh it formed Jaipur's ring of hill forts.
Jaigarh was built mainly by Jai Singh II too, but to guard Amber and its foundry; Bhangarh belonged to the Kachhwaha chiefs of Bhangarh, and Taragarh at Ajmer is far older.
