The city of forts and havelis is Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer is dominated by its living fort, Sonar Qila, built of yellow sandstone, and is famous for its finely carved merchant havelis such as Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli. The combination is why it is called the city of forts and havelis.
Bundi is known as the city of stepwells, Jaipur as the Pink City, and Jodhpur as the Blue City or Sun City.
