The film was directed by Joe Wright.
Wright's Pride & Prejudice (2005), his first feature, starred Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr Darcy.
Ang Lee directed another Jane Austen adaptation, Sense and Sensibility (1995). Christopher Nolan and Baz Luhrmann (The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge!) have not filmed this novel.
