In the context of Cinema, what is Frame rate ?
Answer: A
Frame rate is the number of frames in a moving picture per second.
A film or video is a series of still images (frames) shown fast enough to create the illusion of motion. Frame rate measures how many are shown each second (fps): sound cinema standardised on 24 fps, and video commonly uses 25 or 30 fps.
The total number of frames in a work, without 'per second', is not a rate. Shots are continuous takes made up of many frames, so counting shots, whether in total or per second, measures something else.
