In single digit classification of fingerprints, Battley lens is used, which has :
Answer: D
The Battley lens has seven concentric circles.
In Harry Battley's single-digit classification, devised at Scotland Yard in the 1920s and 1930s to file individual scene marks, a reticle engraved with seven concentric circles, lettered A to G outwards, is placed over the core of a whorl. The circle in which a particular ridge feature, such as the delta or the end of a ridge, falls gives a letter that becomes part of the classification.
Three, five or six circles do not match the lens, whose seven zones give the seven letters A to G.
