The heptathlon events in order are the 100 m hurdles (here VII, 100 m), high jump (VI), shot put (V), 200 m (IV), long jump (III), javelin (II) and 800 m (I). The first day has four events and the second day three.
The other sequences begin with the javelin, put the 800 m earlier, or run the throws in the wrong order. Total points are added from tables for each event, and the winner is the athlete with the most points after the seven events.
