Which Committee recommended for inclusion of Fundamental Duties in Indian Constitution ?
Answer: A
The committee was the Swaran Singh Committee (spelt 'Swarna Singh' in the paper).
Set up in 1976, it recommended adding a chapter of fundamental duties. The 42nd Amendment Act, 1976 then inserted Part IV-A, Article 51A, with ten duties; an eleventh, on education of children, was added in 2002.
The Nehru Committee produced the Nehru Report of 1928, a draft constitution. Sardar Patel chaired the Constituent Assembly's Advisory Committee on fundamental rights and minorities, and Dr Ambedkar chaired the Drafting Committee. None of them recommended fundamental duties.
