What is teleology in historical studies ?
Answer: B
Teleology is the analysis of historical events based on their inherent purpose or end goal.
From the Greek telos, end or purpose, a teleological view explains the past as moving towards a predetermined end, such as the realisation of freedom in Hegel or the classless society in Marx, or the 'Whig' view of history as progress towards the present. Historians often criticise it for reading the past backwards from its outcome.
The other options play on the prefix 'tele-' (telecommunication, telegraphy) or invent a meaning; they are distractors.
