Consider the following statements about a deep convective cloud.
1. Its lower part may operate the warm rain process.
2. Its upper part is fully glaciated.
3. The two processes cannot occur in the same cloud.
Answer: A
The first two are correct and describe the vertical structure. The third is wrong, and separating the contributions of the two routes in such a cloud is a persistent research problem. Deep convection runs both routes at different heights at once.
