Other sources registered the greatest improvement between 2002-03 and 2003-04. Government canals rose from 13863 to 14444, about 4.2 percent. Tanks rose from 1802 to 1908, about 5.9 percent. Tube wells rose from 34250 to 35779, about 4.5 percent.

Other sources gained about 17.1 percent, the highest of the four listed sources. The table shows that the others grew by far smaller percentages, so no other option can compete.
