Kharaharapriya is the 22nd melakarta.
In the Katapayadi scheme of the 72 melakartas, Kharaharapriya takes number 22. Its notes are Sa, chatushruti Ri, sadharana Ga, shuddha Ma, Pa, chatushruti Dha, kaishiki Ni and the upper Sa, which in Hindustani music corresponds to the scale of Kafi.
The numbers 25, 20 and 15 are the places of other melakartas (for example, 15 is Mayamalavagowla), so they do not apply.
