Who was the New York Times reporter who fabricated stories ?
Answer: A
The reporter was Jayson Blair.
In 2003 The New York Times found that Jayson Blair had fabricated quotes and scenes and plagiarised material in dozens of stories. He resigned, and the scandal led to the resignation of the paper's executive editor and managing editor.
The other names are not connected with that scandal.
The case is a standard example in journalism ethics teaching of fabrication and of the failure of editorial checks, because Blair's invented details went unchallenged for months.
