(2) In the year 1907, D.K. Karve founded Indian Women's University in Mumbai.
(3) The South Indian Liberal Federation later came to be known as the Justice Party.
(4) Vipin Chandra Pal founded the 'United Indian Patriotic Association'.

The correct statements are (1) and (3) only.
Statement 3 is correct: the South Indian Liberal Federation, founded in 1916 by T.M. Nair and P. Theagaraya Chetty, became known as the Justice Party after its newspaper, Justice. Statement 1 is the assessment of Lord Lytton (Viceroy 1876-80) that the paper quotes from P.E. Roberts, and it is accepted as given.
Statement 2 is wrong because D.K. Karve founded the Indian Women's University (now SNDT Women's University) in 1916 in Pune. Statement 4 is wrong because the United Indian Patriotic Association was founded by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in 1888, not by Bipin Chandra Pal. Removing 2 and 4 leaves only option (1) and (3).
