What is the meaning of 'Hibernate' in Windows XP/Windows 7 ?
Answer: D
Hibernate in Windows XP and Windows 7 shuts the computer down after saving the contents of memory to the hard disk, so that the running applications and open documents are restored when it is started again. So it shuts down the computer without closing the running applications, option (D). It is not a restart in safe or normal mode, and the shutdown that terminates all the running applications is the ordinary shut down, which does not save the state.
