The Law Commission of India has brought out a report on capital punishment.
The Law Commission examined the question in its 35th report of 1967 and again in later reports, and it advised on whether the death penalty should be kept.
The Police Commission dealt with policing. The Human Rights Commission handles human rights complaints and has commented on the death penalty, but the standard report on capital punishment is the Law Commission's. The Central-State Commission is not a body that produced such a report.
