How many different truth tables of the compound propositions are there that involve the propositions p & q ?
Answer: D
With two propositions p and q there are four combinations of truth values, so a truth table has four rows, and each row of the compound proposition can be true or false independently.
\[ 2^{4} = 16 \]So there are 16 different truth tables. Two, four and eight are too few, since they would restrict some of the rows to the same value.
