Which of the following are inorganic materials ?
(a) Ceramics
(b) Gold
(c) Bronze
(d) Palm leaf & Birch leaf
Answer: B
Inorganic materials are those not made by living organisms: ceramics, gold and bronze, which are statements a, b and c, option B. Palm leaf and birch leaf are plant materials, organic, and therefore they are not inorganic. The options that include d, option A, option C and option D, are therefore wrong, and option C also leaves out ceramics. The distinction matters because organic materials in a museum are attacked by moulds and insects while the inorganic ones are affected mostly by corrosion and salts.
