Which one of the following is not a dual-use technology ?
Answer: D
The key treats missile technology as the one that is not dual-use. Nuclear technology serves both power generation and weapons, nanotechnology has both medical, industrial and military uses, and remote sensing serves both mapping and agriculture as well as military reconnaissance, so each of those is plainly dual-use.
Missile technology is treated as essentially military in purpose, and it is controlled as such by regimes like the MTCR, so among the four it is the one called not dual-use.
