India had procured "AWACS" from which one of the following countries ?
Answer: A
India bought the AWACS from Israel.
India procured the Phalcon airborne warning and control system, mounted on Russian Il-76 aircraft, from Israel in 2004.
The USA, France and Britain did not supply India's AWACS.
The system carries a radar on top of the fuselage that can track aircraft and missiles at great distance, so that it raises the range at which the air force sees a threat. Israel was the supplier of the radar and its systems, and the airframe came from Russia.
