(1) To build informed awareness about the provisions of the law to end discrimination and provide protection.
(2) An initiative for grievance redressal and real time monitoring of registered grievances
Choose correct code :
Answer: C
Both are objectives, so the answer is (1) and (2) correct.
The National Helpline Against Atrocities, toll-free number 14566, was launched in 2021 by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. It aims to spread awareness of the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955 and the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, which exist to end discrimination and provide protection (1), and to register complaints and monitor them in real time until they are redressed (2).
The options accepting only one statement, or neither, leave out a stated purpose of the helpline.
