At the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia in April 2018, India won 26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals, 66 in all, and finished third in the medal table behind Australia and England.
66 is the total, not the gold count. 23, 28 and 31 do not match the gold tally.
