When was printing press introduced in India ?
Answer: C
The printing press was introduced in India in 1556, when the Jesuits brought one to Goa. It was a press for printing religious books, and it was the first in the country. The years 1450 and 1665 do not fit, since 1450 is about the time Gutenberg began printing in Europe and 1665 is far too late. The year 1630 is also wrong, because by then the press at Goa had been working for decades. So the keyed answer is 1556, option C.
