Which of the following is not true with regard to Intuitionism as an ethical theory ?
Answer: C
The statement not true of intuitionism is that our intuition is always in league with the conventional morality.
Ethical intuitionists such as Moore, Prichard and Ross hold that there are objective moral truths independent of us, that some of them are basic and cannot be analysed further, and that we know them by a rational, intuitive grasp. These are options A, B and D.
Intuitionism makes no claim that intuitions always agree with conventional morality; a moral intuition can show that an accepted practice is wrong. Tying intuition to convention would make it a form of conventionalism.
