Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission at Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh on 1 July 2023. Its goal is to eliminate sickle cell disease as a public health problem by 2047, with screening of about seven crore people in tribal areas.

Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan are among the states covered by the mission, but the launch was in Madhya Pradesh.

Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder in which a haemoglobin mutation makes red blood cells rigid and sickle-shaped. It is far more common in tribal communities, which is why Shahdol, a tribal-majority district, was chosen for the launch.

The Gaon Ki Beti scheme belongs to Madhya Pradesh.

Started by the Madhya Pradesh government in 2005, the Gaon Ki Beti Yojana gives a scholarship to girls from villages who pass Class 12 in the first division and go on to higher education, to encourage rural girls to continue their studies.

Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Chhattisgarh run other schemes for girls, but not this one.

The Dak Karmayogi portal, launched by the Department of Posts in 2023 under the Mission Karmayogi framework, provides online and blended training modules so that postal employees, including Gramin Dak Sevaks, can upgrade their skills.

It is not a grievance portal, an awards system or a public participation platform. The word 'correcting' in the stem stands for launching or setting up the portal.

Mission Karmayogi, the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building, was launched in 2020 to train government employees through the iGOT Karmayogi online platform.

Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana in rural areas is the National Rural Livelihoods Mission, implemented in Madhya Pradesh by the State Rural Livelihood Mission (Aajeevika). Food security is handled through the public distribution system, education through school schemes, and health through programmes such as Ayushman Bharat; none is the focus of this livelihood mission.

The School Education Department deals with education up to Class 12, while the Panchayat and Rural Development and the Women and Child Development departments run other schemes for villages and for women and children.

A scheme-information site describes it as run by the state's Scheduled Caste Welfare Department since 2007, so the welfare department for Scheduled Castes is the one to pick, and option A is the only option naming it (its wording adds 'and Tribe').

The Higher Education and School Education departments run other schemes, and the Tribal Affairs Department deals with Scheduled Tribes, not this award. I did not find an official government page naming the department, so the confirmation is from a secondary source.

The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), set up in 1987 under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, works for the economic and social development of tribal people by marketing their products: minor forest produce and tribal handicrafts (sold through Tribes India outlets), and by helping them get fair prices, skills and better technology through schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana.

Maternal and child health is the responsibility of the health ministry and its programmes, not of a marketing federation.
