The Physical Education Teacher (PET) post in Delhi government schools is filled through DSSSB for the Directorate of Education. The current recruitment is old: post code 41/22 under Advertisement No. 08/22, with 221 posts, advertised in October 2022.
It is still live. On 17 September 2026 the Board issued a corrigendum reserving 9 of the 221 posts for persons with disabilities, a post first advertised as unsuitable for them. No CBT date or result for 41/22 had been posted on the Board's site by mid-October 2026.

DSSSB Physical Education Teacher Details
Exam Pattern
One-tier teaching paper of 200 marks in 2 hours. Section A, 100 marks: General Awareness, Reasoning, Arithmetic, Hindi and English. Section B, 100 marks: physical education with teaching methodology. A quarter mark is lost for each wrong answer, and the minimum mark is applied to Section B.
Eligibility Criteria
A graduate with a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent. No CTET was asked for in the 2022 advertisement. Upper age 30 on 18 November 2022, plus category relaxations and up to 5 years for DoE guest or contract teachers.

The PwBD seats are for deaf and hard of hearing candidates (2), locomotor disability (3) and categories (d) and (e) (4). Blind and low-vision candidates are not covered.
Selection Process
Merit in the CBT, then document upload in an e-dossier, then nomination to DoE. The 2022 advertisement did not include a physical or skill test.
Salary
Pay Level 7, ₹44,900–1,42,400, Group B non-gazetted.
How to Apply
Applications for 41/22 closed in November 2022, and the corrigendum does not reopen them. For future posts, apply on OARS; the fee is ₹100, with exemption for women, SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen.

Exam dates will come in a Notice of Exam, issued anywhere from three weeks to two months before a block of CBTs.
Preparation Tips
- Keep an eye on the Notice of Exam page; a long-pending code can be scheduled with only a few weeks' notice.
- PGT (Physical Education), Level 8, is a separate post and appeared in the 2023 PGT round as 815/23, with a master's requirement.
