OSSC recruited Accountants for the Housing and Urban Development Department, under the Director of Municipal Administration, through Advt. No. 7257/OSSC dated 22 December 2022. It was 65 Group-B posts on Level 9.
That is the only Accountant advertisement in the Commission's list. The Accountant post does not appear in the 2025 and 2026 notices.

OSSC Accountant Details
Exam Pattern
Three steps. A qualifying prelim, in which the marks do not count for merit and about six times the vacancies were to go through. Then a Mathematics test with 0.25 negative marking, and a qualifying Computer Skill Test with 50 per cent needed. Candidates were shortlisted for certificate verification from the Mathematics marks, about twice the vacancies. The prelim and the mathematics test were in Odia and English.
Eligibility Criteria
A bachelor's degree in any discipline and ability to use a computer, internet, e-mail, word processing, data analysis and presentation. Age 21 to 38 years on 01.01.2022 with the usual relaxations for SC, ST, SEBC, women, PwD, ex-servicemen and in-service contractual staff.
Salary
Level 9, ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, Group-B.
How to Apply
Online only. The 2022 advertisement waived the examination fee for every category under a government notification of 11 April 2022. Of the 65 posts, 33 were unreserved, 15 ST, 10 SC and 7 SEBC.
