The Neugebauer equations model halftone colour by
Answer: D
Correct answer: combining the primary colours weighted by their area coverage
The Neugebauer model treats a halftone as a spatial mixture of the sixteen Neugebauer primaries - paper, each single ink, each pair, each triple and all four - and adds their tristimulus values in proportion to the area each occupies. The subtractive part is inside each primary; the additive part is the area weighting.
