Choose the correct option to complete the alphabet letter series
__ ABA __CABC __ DCBA __ BAB __ A
Answer: A
The missing letters are ABDCA.
Filling the five blanks in order gives
A ABA B CABC D DCBA C BAB A A
which reads as A, AB, ABC, ABCD, DCBA, CBA, BA, A: the alphabet is built up one letter at a time to ABCD and then taken down again in reverse.
Each of the other options breaks this pattern at its first blank or second blank; for instance BCADC would make the series start BABA, which fits no rule.
