In the Engish alphabet, which letter will be to the immediate left of M ?
Answer: B
Correct answer: L
M is the 13th letter, so the letter immediately to its left is the 12th, L.
The two-line presentation is a distraction: the alphabet runs continuously from A to Z, and breaking it after M for display does not make N the neighbour of M on the left. Reading the series as one line settles the question at once.
