Which of the following rock type show light tone ?
Answer: A
The rock that shows a light tone is Marble.
Tone on an aerial photograph or image depends on how much light the surface reflects. Marble, made of white or pale calcite and dolomite, reflects strongly and appears light in tone.
Basalt and dolerite are dark, fine to medium-grained mafic rocks rich in pyroxene and iron oxides, so they appear in dark tones. Magnetite quartzite (banded iron formation) contains abundant dark magnetite and also gives a dark tone.
