Which quantity replaces the buoyancy frequency for saturated air?
Answer: A
For saturated ascent the relevant gradient is that of equivalent potential temperature or of saturated equivalent potential temperature, and the resulting effective stability is typically a third of the dry value. Latent heat release substantially reduces the restoring force. The Richardson number combines stratification with shear and answers a different question about dynamic rather than static stability. The quantity that varies and the quantity that does not are worth naming before any substitution is attempted.
