Which jump lead specification matters most?
Answer: A
Thin leads drop several volts and cannot deliver the current a starter needs, so cross section is the key specification. Length matters because it adds resistance, which makes the second option a related concern. Twelve volts poses no shock hazard. The order in which the effects act is what decides the outcome, so it is worth establishing first. Working the distinction through on a single concrete case fixes it more firmly than any rule of thumb.
