Find the average of first six multiples of 6?
Answer: D
The first six multiples of 6 are 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 and 36. Their sum is 126, and the average is the sum divided by the number of terms.
\[ \frac{6 + 12 + 18 + 24 + 30 + 36}{6} = \frac{126}{6} = 21 \]
It can also be found as \(6 \times \frac{1 + 2 + \cdots + 6}{6} = 6 \times 3.5 = 21\). The values 6 and 12 are the first and second multiples, and 19 is not related to the series. The answer is 21, option D.
