Which part of the brain is responsible for making humans alert and active on account of sensory information input?
Answer: C
The reticular activating system, a network of neurons in the brainstem, keeps a person alert and active by passing sensory input up to the cortex. The limbic system deals with emotion and motivation. 'Functional activating system' and 'cerebral system' are not standard names for a brain structure with this role.
