The colour of eyes is an example of which type of the following traits?
Answer: C
Eye colour is a phenotype, the observable characteristic that results from the interaction of genes and environment. Genotype is the underlying genetic makeup, not the visible trait. Expressive and ability are labels for behavioural traits, not the term for an observable physical characteristic such as the colour of the eyes. Phenotype is the sum of the observable features of a person, such as height, skin colour and eye colour, and it depends on both genes (genotype) and environment. Eye colour is largely genetic, but it is still named by the visible feature.
