Pointing to a woman in a group photograph Rita said, "Her sister's father is the only son of my grandfather." How is Rita related to woman in the photograph ?

The woman is Rita's sister.
Work from the end of Rita's statement. The only son of Rita's grandfather is Rita's father. So the woman's sister's father is Rita's father, which means the woman herself is a daughter of Rita's father.
The woman and Rita therefore share a father, so the woman is Rita's sister. Nothing places her a generation above Rita, which rules out 'mother' and 'aunt', and nothing suggests a marriage, which rules out 'mother-in-law'.
