Pointing to a man, a lady said, "The daughter of his only sister is the sister of my husband." How is the man related to the lady?

The man is the brother of the lady's mother-in-law. The lady speaks of the daughter of the man's only sister, and says that girl is the sister of her own husband. A sister of the lady's husband is the husband's sister, so the man's only sister is the mother of the lady's husband, that is the lady's mother-in-law. The man is therefore the brother of the lady's mother-in-law. He is not the father's brother, because the link runs through the husband's mother, and he is not a grandfather or a brother of the father-in-law, because the connecting person is female.
