In a certain code language,
‘A + B’ means ‘A is the wife of B’,
‘A − B’ means ‘A is the mother of B’,
‘A × B’ means ‘A is the son of B’,
‘A ÷ B’ means ‘A is the father of B’
Based on the above, how is U related to Y if ‘T ÷ U + V × W − X × Y’?
Answer: B
U is the son's wife of Y. Decode T ÷ U + V × W − X × Y: T is the father of U; U is the wife of V; V is the son of W; W is the mother of X; X is the son of Y.
W is the mother of both V and X, so V and X are brothers, and X is Y's son, which makes Y the parent of V as well. U is V's wife, so U is the wife of Y's son, which is the son's wife (daughter-in-law) of Y. Daughter, sister and mother would all need U to be a blood relative of Y, which no link in the chain gives.
