Discussion
What is the average skin-friction coefficient for a wholly laminar flat plate at \( Re_L = 10^6 \)?
Answer: A
The averaged Blasius result is \( 1.328/\sqrt{Re_L} = 1.328/1000 = 1.33 \times 10^{-3} \). It is twice the local value at the trailing edge, because the layer is thinnest and the friction highest near the leading edge.
