Mann-Whitney 'U' test is used for testing :
Answer: D
The Mann-Whitney U test is used for testing the equality of two sets of ranking.
It is a non-parametric test for comparing two independent samples. The observations from both samples are ranked together, and the test checks whether the ranks are distributed alike in the two groups, that is, whether the two samples come from the same population. It is the alternative to the two-sample t-test when normality cannot be assumed.
Equality of two means with normal data is the t-test, and comparison of more than two means is analysis of variance (or the Kruskal-Wallis test for ranks).
